Coach of the Year Announced
March 19, 2012 – The Woodridge Park District recently chose Dusan Strmcnik as the 2011 Coach of the Year. As part of the award’s criteria, Dusan has demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship, player development and leadership during his time as the coach of the U14 Boys Woodridge Storm team.
Dusan started coaching in the Woodridge Storm program two and a half years ago and has been with the same team ever since. He is extremely thankful for the award and believes the award should really go to the boys. “The boys have been playing with some fantastic offensive soccer skills. With a bit of talent and a lot of hard work, the kids keep pushing their limits.” said Dusan. He hopes that they will reach for the stars and make us proud, not only in soccer but in their lives as well.
The Woodridge Park District congratulates Dusan as well as Steve Pluister, who was also nominated this year for the award.
