Woodridge Park District Awarded $2.5 Million Grant for Athletic Recreation Center (ARC)
The Woodridge Park District has been awarded a $2.5 million dollar grant by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for the development of the District’s planned Athletic Recreation Center.

Plan Commission Zoning Public Hearing for the Athletic Recreation Center
A public hearing was held at the Village of Woodridge Plan Commission meeting on October 7 to consider the Woodridge Park District’s request for a special use permit to build the Athletic Recreation Center.

Splash Pad Closed for the Season
The Splash Pad at Hobson Corner Park is closed for the season.

Park District to Request Zoning Permit for Athletic Recreation Center (ARC)
A public hearing is scheduled for October 6 before the Plan Commission of the
Village of Woodridge to consider applications by the Woodridge Park District for building of the ARC.

Demolition of ARC Site in Progress
Demolition work of the ARC site, located at the northeast corner of Janes Avenue and 83rd Street, began on Tuesday, September 2.

Park Board Adopts Town Centre Master Plan
The Woodridge Park District Board of Park Commissioners officially adopted the proposed Town Centre Master Plan at the August 12, 2014 Regular Board Meeting.

Village Board Approves Bid for Demolition of Shopping Center
Demolition work on the ARC site is expected to begin in August.

Cypress Cove Lifeguards Place at the Annual State Lifeguard Games
Congrats to the Cypress Cove lifeguard staff for competing and placing at the annual IPRA Lifeguards games. Teams placed first and second in the “Blindfold CPR” event, first in the “Search and Rescue” event and third in the “Unconscious Victim Rescue” event. All five Cypress Cove teams collectively won the “Team Spirit Champions Award”.
