THE MISSION OF THE WOODRIDGE PARK DISTRICT IS TO ENHANCE ONE'S QUALITY OF LIFE BY PROVIDING
SUPERIOR PARKS, FACILITIES, AND RECREATIONAL SERVICES IN A FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE AND
ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE MANNER, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE COMMUNITY.
The Woodridge Park District will provide diversified, creative, safe, and affordable recreational programs, events, and leisure
services responsive to the needs of the community.
The Woodridge Park District will implement responsive, effective, efficient governance and management practices.
The Woodridge Park District will work to achieve its mission in a fiscally responsible manner by implementing best financial
management practices in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
The Woodridge Park District will develop an effective system of communication and cooperation with other community service
providers to facilitate joint activities and programs avoiding where possible duplication of effort.
The Woodridge Park District will enact a community relations program designed to advance the reputation & image of the District,
build relationships, create a positive climate, encourage community partnerships, sustain giving programs, promote the wise use of leisure time, be responsive, and generally enhance a strong sense of community.
The Woodridge Park District will promote a compelling and safe workplace, employ and recruit the most competent staff
/volunteers possible; equip staff/volunteers with necessary information, technology, equipment, & supplies to perform essential job duties; and provide continuing education & training opportunities to further develop employees/volunteers skills.
The Woodridge Park District will plan, guide, and provide a diversified system of safe, accessible, and well-maintained parks,
facilities, and equipment of exceptional quality responsive to the needs of the community.
The Woodridge Park District will actively promote and implement strategies and actions to improve environmental quality and
achieve sustainable results.
