Jenny Knitter: Someone You Should Know
There is no such thing as a boring day for Jenny Knitter, the Superintendent of Planning and Development for the Woodridge Park District. Jenny’s diverse responsibilities include management of most replacement and development projects and providing design input, oversight while working with Park District Staff and consultants on park and facility projects.
After 14 years with the District, Jenny recently was also assigned management of landscape maintenance within our parks as well as natural areas. This entails proactively managing to improve the conditions of our woodlands, wetlands, prairies, and ponds on Park District properties, as well as focusing on improving the health of our trees, shrubs and landscape beds throughout our parks.
Jenny’s favorite part about working for the Woodridge Park District is being able to see the joy and excitement in people’s reactions when they use our parks and facilities. “It makes me so proud to work for a Park District who fulfills our mission to provide high quality and diverse recreational opportunities in Woodridge,” said Jenny.
When she’s not at work, Jenny enjoys participating in recreational activities with her husband of 11 years and her two daughters who play soccer, swim and love to dance.
