Julie Rhodes: Someone You Should Know
You know you love your job when you stay at it for over 27 years! Julie Rhodes began her career at the Woodridge Park District in 1991 and has enjoyed seeing her friends and familiar faces at the park district and community events throughout the years. Julie serves as both the Assistant Superintendent of Recreation and Safety Coordinator. Her job duties include assisting with the administrative planning, organization and supervision of recreation programs and park district facilities, including the operation of Cypress Cove Family Aquatic Park and the Community Center. As the Safety Coordinator, Julie ensures public safety for both park district employees and participants by implementing safety-related improvements and efficiency measures at all park district facilities, parks and programs.
In addition to her job at the park district, Julie also volunteers as an usher at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Aurora. Julie loves to travel the world; she has traveled to all seven continents and has visited 50 states and 43 countries. She also enjoys reading, mountain biking, camping and being outdoors.
