Americans with Disabilites Act (ADA)

The Woodridge Park District strives to comply with the 1990 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Park District has hired Accessibility Consultants and Training Services to update the district’s original ADA Transition Plan, which was created in 1992.  The plan assesses all Park District properties and identifies any accessibility barriers that exist.

If you or a member of your family needs special assistance or accommodations to participate in any Park District program, please indicate that need on the Park District registration form.

There are numerous recreational opportunities throughout Woodridge and surrounding communities coordinated through SEASPAR (South East Association for Special Parks and Recreation). Visit http://seaspar.org for more information.

The Woodridge Park District has appointed Mike Adams, Executive Director, as the ADA compliance officer. If you have any questions or concerns about access to recreation for Americans with Disabilities, you may contact him via e-mail madams@woodridgeparks.org or phone (630) 353-3300.
