Park Mowing Status – Record Rainfall (AGAIN) Continues to Hinder Maintenance Operations
For the fourth year in a row we’ve experienced record rainfall. The District respectfully asks for residents’ patience as Maintenance Crews strive to catch up on mowing, weeding and various maintenance tasks throughout the parks and facility grounds.

COVID-19 Updates
Cypress Cove closed for the 2020 season; District continues to assess means and methods to safely re-open facilities and provide recreational programs.

2020 Woodridge Jubilee Cancelled Due to COVID-19
We are heartbroken to share the news that the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the cancellation of the 2020 Woodridge Jubilee, originally scheduled for June 17 – June 21.

Finance Department Awarded Two Certificates of Achievements
The Government Finance Officers Association recognized the Woodridge Park District with Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for the fiscal year ending April 30, 2019.

Important Information About the April Board Meeting
Members of the Board of Park Commissioners will not be physically present for the April 21st meeting but will instead be participating in the meeting using a virtual meeting platform.

Dan Pater Named Woodridge Park District Coach of the Year
Woodridge Park District selected Dan Pater as the 2019 Woodridge Park District Coach of the Year. Dan has been a coach for the park district’s youth basketball league for two years and also coaches baseball for the Woodridge Athletic Association.

Prescribed Burn Schedule
The Woodridge Park District will conduct a prescribed burn at the Vicente Oulot D on Friday, March 13.

Summer Activity Guides Coming Soon
Resident delivery of the Summer Activity Guide will begin on Friday, April 3.

Census Support Events for Seniors Are Cancelled
The April 1 and April 10 events to provide support to seniors for the 2020 Census have been cancelled due to the COVID-19.

Woodridge Park District Active Adult Group Donates Over 5,000 Handmade Items to Local Charities
Crafting for a Cause has been sewing, crocheting and knitting since 2015 and in 2019 alone, they made and donated over 5,000 homemade items.
