August 14, 2019 – Most of the renovated 83rd Street Park features are available for public use including a park shelter, picnic tables, benches, permanent baggo boards and ping pong tables, and a drinking fountain. Sidewalks throughout connect these features to the existing Sipley School playground and basketball court, as well as to the modernized accessible baseball dugouts. Initial seeding of the soccer field & open turf space was unfortunately impacted by the recent drought conditions. Therefore, the field area will be renovated and tentatively ready for play next summer or fall. The park site will be a rent-able picnic location in 2020.
