UPDATE: The main pool will re-open on Monday, June 9.
Pool Leak Found & Repair Scheduled
In early May, Park District staff discovered a leak in our main pool after noticing flooding in the landscape beds while filling the pool. After weeks of working with a leak detection company using underground cameras and pipe testing underneath the pool, the problem has been located and a solution that avoids tearing up the main pool has been finalized.
Repair Timeline
Thursday, June 5 morning: Pipe lining repair and testing (no pool demolition needed)
Thursday, June 5 afternoon: Begin refilling pool | The pool needs 2-3 days to fill, 24 hours for chemical balancing, and 48 hours to warm up properly.
Expected reopening: Monday, June 9

Swim Lesson & Sea Lions Starters Rescheduling
In the event that the main pool is filled and ready for swimming on June 9th, Youth Swim Lesson and Sea Lions Starters will start on time. If not, they will begin on Wednesday, June 9 at the regularly scheduled time. For Sea Lion Starters, instructors will inform participants of make-up date options. For Youth Swim Lessons, the program will run through the scheduled rain dates, so the new program dates for Session 1 are Wednesday, June 11 – Friday, June 20. The Rainout Line will be updated accordingly.
