Woodridge Police Seek Information on Suspicious Incident

Woodridge, IL (October 23, 2020) – As previously stated in prior New Release posted on October 12, 2012, nothing is more important to the Woodridge Park District than making sure park patrons are safe when visiting and using parks, playgrounds and pathways. It is a responsibility that we continuously take very seriously. That’s why we again wanted to share and keep you updated with new information regarding another suspicious incident that occurred on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m.

We learned from the Woodridge Police Department of a report of a suspicious incident that occurred near the area of Woodridge Drive and Wild Plum Drive near Lake Harriet. The Park District continues to provide ongoing assistance to law enforcement authorities with these recent incidents. The Woodridge Police is actively investigating this incident and is seeking information. Investigators encourage anyone with information about the incident to report a crime tip to Woodridge detectives by calling 630-960-8998 or emailing crimetips@vil.woodridge.il.us.

The Woodridge Park District in partnership with Woodridge Police will continue to work very hard to take steps that contribute toward maintaining a safe and secure environment for park patrons to recreate safely in our parks, playgrounds, pathways and facilities.
