The Woodridge Park District would like to inform the community and patrons of Village Greens Golf Course that, effective November 11, 2025, the Park District will no longer manage or operate the facility.
For the past 30 years, Village Greens has been more than a golf course. It has been a place where neighbors became friends, families created traditions, and golfers of all ages shared their love of the game. From early morning tee times to summer leagues, tournaments, and celebrations in the clubhouse, Village Greens has been at the heart of the Woodridge community.
“We are so grateful to everyone who walked the fairways, gathered in the clubhouse, and supported Village Greens over the years,” said Jenny Knitter, Woodridge Park District Executive Director. “The course has been a source of joy, connection, and community pride—and those memories will always be part of our Park District’s history.”
As the Park District closes this chapter, we sincerely thank our patrons and staff for their loyalty and the fun times shared on and off the greens.
Moving forward, as the owner of Village Greens Golf Course, the responsibility for the facility will return to the Village of Woodridge. We encourage community members to stay connected through the Village of Woodridge’s website, Facebook page and e-newsletters.
For more details on the original announcement and the history of the lease agreement for Village Greens, please refer to the August 15, 2025 press release available on the Woodridge Park District’s website.
The Woodridge Park District is proud to have been a part of Village Greens’ story and looks forward to continuing to serve the community through its many other parks, programs, and recreational opportunities.
