Cancelled: Woodridge Jubilee

June 17, 2020 - June 22, 2020

Where: Woodridge Drive and Center Drive
Fee: Free Admission
Ages: All

The Woodridge Jubilee, a community tradition that features live music, carnival rides, and other fun-for-the-whole-family activities, is cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizers had scheduled Jubilee for June 17 June 21, 2020, at the corner of Woodridge and Center Drives. Both the Woodridge Park District and the Village of Woodridge jointly plan the annual Jubilee Festival. This year would have marked the festivals 38th year in Woodridge.

Jubilee week is one of my favorite times of the year it always gives me great pride to see our community gather to enjoy a fun, Woodridge tradition together, said Woodridge Mayor Gina Cunningham. As it is, cancelling Jubilee this year is in the best interest of our community and public health. Im already looking forward to the next Jubilee, and when it happens, we will all have a lot to celebrate.

Cancelling Jubilee is extremely disappointing for all of us. It is important to follow the advice of public health departments, and unfortunately large summer festivals do not fit within the current CDC mass gathering and physical distancing guidelines, said Park Board President Bill Cohen. We encourage residents to still enjoy exercise throughout Woodridge parks, paths, trails and now golf at Village Greens, while maintaining physical distancing. Also, I encourage people to follow the Park District on social media for content about safe recreational and family activities.
