Garden Club Presentation: What is All the Buzz About Bees

Join the Woodridge Garden Club for their November meeting and presentation titled “What is All the Buzz About Bees”. It will cover Interesting Facts about Honey Bees, How a Beehive Works and Bee Friendly Plants. Products will be available. Free and open to the public.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Karen has a B.S. in Horticulture from Iowa State University. She has been an instructor for community colleges and at the Chicago Botanic Garden. She has been speaking at Chicagoland Garden Clubs since 1995 and has been published in Midwest Living. Karen and her husband Brian started the Honey Lake Bee Company (www.honeylakebeecompany.com). They manage over 50 hives and live in the Barrington area. Brian started beekeeping when he was ten years old and has a bachelor’s degree in Horticulture. They give unique and informative talks about bees, plants and honey.
