Totschool Teacher Bios

Amelia A. Lozano

Amelia is the Totschool Supervisor and brings over 30 years of experience to the Woodridge Park District. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from National Lewis University and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University. Amelia and her husband have lived in Woodridge for 30 years and have raised five amazing children, all Totschool alumni. Outside of Totschool, Amelia enjoys reading, traveling, movies, dinner with friends and most of all spending time with her four grandchildren.

Cheryl Lang

Cheryl Lang

Cheryl is in her ninth year teaching at Totschool and teaching the four-day class for four-year-olds. She previously worked as a nanny and a teacher at St. Joan of ARC and KinderCare, and also volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America. Cheryl resides in Woodridge with her husband and three children, two of whom are Totschool alumni. She and her family enjoy spending their summers together at Jelly Stone Campground.

Estelle Callaghan

This is Estelle’s sixth year teaching Totschool. She believes teaching is one of the most rewarding and challenging professions, which is what motivated her to receive a K-9 Elementary Teaching Certificate after completing her education in Speech Pathology. Estelle has been married for 32 years and has two grown sons and lives in Darien. She enjoys biking, long walks with her dog and spending time with family and friends.

Gina Liska

Gina is starting her fourth year with the Totschool team. She resides in Woodridge with her two children, both alumni from the Totschool program. Before teaching at Totschool, she ran a home daycare for several years. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and doing home decor and design. She also loves animals, especially her dog, Bo.

Lisa Oskorep

Lisa adores teaching the youngest learners at Totschool.  Her passion for educating is evident in her previous position as a first grade teacher at Divine Infant, as well as her volunteer role as a Catechist at Saint Scholastica. She resides in Woodridge with her husband and three children.  She enjoys being her children’s biggest cheerleader for all their activities as well as gardening, reading, shopping and being a coffee connoisseur.

Christine Andrews

Christine is really excited to return to Totschool. She resides in Woodridge with her husband of 23 years and their son, who is a alumni of the Totschool program. She has been teaching for over 20 years. She attended Triton College where she got her degree in Early Childcare. She loves working with children and seeing the excitement on their faces when they learn something new! When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Becky Nachman

Becky is happy to be joining the Totschool team for another year. She previously ran a home daycare and taught Kindergarten and first grade in Joliet. She loves spending time at home with her husband and their four kids, three of whom are previous Totschool alumni. When not at home, she can be found hiking, playing with her dogs at the dog park or cheering her kids on at their athletic events.

Lisa Trauscht

Lisa is thrilled to be returning for her third year at Totschool. She lives with her husband in Woodridge, along with her three children, who all are Totschool alumni. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and was a first grade teacher prior to staying home with her children. At home, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking and walking the family dog, Lucky.

Caitlin Meehan

Caitlin was inspired to join the Totschool team because of her daughters wonderful experience with the program. She strives to provide a creative and enthusiastic atmosphere that will encourage a life long love of school. She lives in her hometown of Woodridge with her husband, twin daughters and morkie poo, Anakin. She loves spending time with her most favorite people in the world – her children, nieces and nephews!

Maggie Job

This is Maggie’s eighth year with the Woodridge Park District. Maggie is our First Steps and Lunch Buddies teacher. She also assists with Totschool whenever needed. Maggie lives in Woodridge with her husband, two sons and her two dogs. Maggie’s hobbies include cooking, exercising and enjoying her lake house.
