One of the major players in the opening of the ARC and the development of new youth athletic programs and events is Brad Keene. Brad began his new position as Athletic Supervisor in July 2016 but he is no stranger to Woodridge. His first job was umpiring for the Woodridge Park District Girls Softball League in 1995 and continued to umpire all different levels from youth to college softball for 15 years. Brad attended St. Scholastica and was the MVP of his eighth grade basketball team.
In the first 3 weeks of the ARC being opening, Brad was responsible for inaugurating two travel basketball tournaments, four travel soccer tournaments, an in-house volleyball league and a travel soccer league for U9-U12 players with 38 teams participating. In addition to the leagues and tournaments, Brad is also in charge of a variety of youth athletic programs at the ARC including indoor tennis, DGS Girls Basketball Clinic, soccer shots classes, fencing, Future Pros soccer skills training and open gyms. Brad is also in charge of rentals for the indoor turf field, gym and the indoor high ropes course.
