Amelia Lozano: Someone You Should Know

If you are a parent, Amelia Lozano is most likely a familiar name in your household. Amelia has over 27 years of teaching experience, 12 of them as a Woodridge Park District Totschool teacher and eight as a Woodridge School District 68 kindergarten and first grade teacher. While teaching Totschool, she also held the position of KIDZ Squad Site Director. She is now the Recreation Coordinator for the Park District and is responsible for the entire Totschool program, along with a few other early childhood programs.
Amelia’s passion for teaching is evident not only at the Park District, but in all facets of her life. In addition to teaching children in Woodridge, she also acts as the director of the Sunday school program at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Westchester.

When Amelia is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies and traveling. For the past 23 years she has resided in Woodridge with her husband, five children, three dogs and countless fish. She is also the proud grandmother of two little boys, ages three years and six months old.
