Kim Jay: Someone You Should Know

No two days are the same for Kim Jay, a Recreation Supervisor at the Woodridge Park District, which is one of the reasons why she chose to work in the park and recreation industry. She also enjoys her role because it directly affects people in a positive manner.

Kim oversees early childhood, youth and teen programming, special events, dance classes and summer camp. She has been in her current role since July 2015, but her first experience with the District was in the summer of 2006 as an intern. Prior to Woodridge, Kim worked for the Worth, Addison and Medinah Park Districts.

Her love for leisure activities and keeping busy is evident in all facets of Kim’s life. She was a drummer in an all-girl band, worked as a mailwoman for the post office during summer breaks in college and is a certified scuba diver. When she’s not working, she is attending her two sons’ sporting events, gardening and enjoying walks with her family.
