August 2, 2017 – Over 40 park sites are maintained year-round at the Woodridge Park District and Glenn Hussey, Park Maintenance Supervisor, is responsible for keeping those parks in tip-top shape. Glenn oversees daily maintenance job assignments and supervises 8 full-time and 21 seasonal staff including mowing and athletic field crews. He also assists with park district and village special events such as the Jubilee and Haunted Forest Walk.
After working for the District for 14 years Glenn still takes pride in watching residents and visitors use Woodridge Park District’s parks, facilities and sports fields. Before joining the Woodridge team, he worked at Cantigny Park and Bartlett and West Chicago Park Districts. Glenn’s family owned a boat while he was growing up in the Lincoln Park neighborhood in Chicago and became hooked on boating at a very young age. He still enjoys spending time out on the water, whether it’s on a sailboat or a motorboat.
