Not many people can say they have worked for the same employer for 30 years, but Angie McGrath will celebrate 33 years with the Woodridge Park District later this month. She began her park district career as a dance instructor and later took on the Recreation Coordinator position where she oversaw the preschool and before and after school programs. In 2015, Angie was hired as the ARC Facility Manger during the construction of the building. Prior to joining the Woodridge Park District, she worked as a commercial insurance underwriter and an instructor, trainer and gymnastics program supervisor for the Naperville and Downers Grove YWCAs.
Angie’s favorite part of working for the Woodridge Park District is all of the wonderful people that her job has brought into her life. She has been with the District so long that children she taught are now coming to the District with their children and many of her former students are now employees and co-workers.
When Angie is not at the ARC, you can find her spending time with her husband of 35 years, her two sons and her 3-year-old grandson. She is an avid Packers fan and loves college football. First on her bucket list is to visit every Southeastern Conference college for at least one football game.
