Although she joined the Woodridge Park District less than a year ago, Kim Passini has already captured the hearts of the active adult group with her amazing trip and activity planning skills. Kim’s role as Recreation Supervisor entails overseeing the Golden Years Club, active adult trips and activities and the Road Rally and All Village Garage Sale special events. She has also worked for Wheaton, Geneva, Fox Valley and Lemont Park Districts. Her first job at 15 years old, which she rode her bike to, was a softball umpire for the Lombard Park District. Prior to her career in the recreation industry, Kim worked as a domestic violence counselor for 4 years. Working in an industry where she can create fun and promote a healthy lifestyle to the public are the reasons why Kim has been involved in parks and recreation for so long.
When she’s not at work, Kim enjoys exercising, biking, playing tennis and camping. She also volunteers for her church and an organization that provides outreach services to high schoolers. Kim grew up an athlete playing high school basketball, tennis and softball and went on to play 2 years of college basketball. Her first bucket list item she wants to check off when she retires is to take a year to travel the United States in an RV.
