June 6, 2018 – Lauren Starczewski recently celebrated her two-year anniversary with the Woodridge Park District, but has a total of 11 years of experience in the park and recreation industry. She began working for the New Lenox Community Park District when she was 16 as a File/Registration Clerk and ended her time there in the Human Resource and Finance department.
Some of Lauren’s responsibilities as the Finance Assistance for Woodridge include payroll processing and daily reconciliation of the ARC, Community Center and Cypress Cove. She also handles new employee onboarding, termination of employees, accounts receivable and accounting projects.
Her favorite part about working for the District is having a role in positively impacting the community. Lauren also enjoys the fun yet professional atmosphere in the office and throughout the District. When Lauren is not at work, she enjoys Zumba, shopping, attending country concerts and spending time with family and friends. She also keeps busy planning her September wedding with her high school sweetheart of 10 years.
