April 4, 2019 – Construction at Triangle Park began in January in order to improve overall storm water management functions and preservation of the park land. The project is now substantially complete with the final stages of planting and native plug installations occurring in May. The Triangle Park erosion control/flood mitigation/water quality improvement project included:
- Installation of stream rock toe, rock points, and rock riffles
- Earthwork for streambank reconstruction and reshaping of slopes
- Addition of stormwater basins off the main channel to divert floodwaters in high storm events
- Rock placement adjacent to storm sewer headwalls
- Removal of existing storm sewer grate and installation of new grate
- Removal of invasive vegetation offsite disposal of unsuitable soils and/or vegetative material
