May 2, 2019 – Kathi Wencewicz is Woodridge Park District’s newest full-time employee. She began working in September 2018 as the Recreation Supervisor. Her job responsibilities include overseeing programs and special events including Totschool, Haunted Forest Walk, Enchanted Ball, Motion Explosion and a variety of early childhood, youth and teen programs.
Prior to Woodridge, Kathi worked at the Fox Valley Park District for over 19 years as a Recreation Supervisor overseeing programs for all ages. She also worked at Lifetime Fitness and Funway Entertainment Center.
Offering park district programs that families can enjoy together is Kathi’s favorite part of working in the recreation field. “I grew up participating in park district activities and I wanted to give back to my community and offer affordable programs for all ages to enjoy, just as I did,” said Kathi.
Kathi lives in Batavia with her husband, two children and dog. She enjoys the outdoors, traveling, watching her kids play sports and watching her husband’s band.
