June 12, 2020 – It is with great sadness to recently learn of the passing of our friend and former co-worker, Robert Kaczmarek. Bob worked for the Woodridge Park District for over 30 years as a Youth Basketball Instructor, Youth Basketball Referee and as a Starter for the Village Greens Golf Course. Coach Bob touched the lives of many kids with his fun and humorous style of teaching basketball skills. He also advocated for good sportsmanship to include family and friends by handing out lollipops to those overly expressing their opinions. As an official, he made sure each player learned to enjoy the game and to understand it is not always about winning. Bob will be greatly missed.
